The Lindenwood women's wrestling team is set to host the Lindenwood Duals this Sunday at Hyland Arena. The event will follow a tournament format with the Lions set to face Illinois Wesleyan in the opening round. In addition to the Titans, the Duals will feature No. 2 McKendree, No. 11 Simpson, No. 20 Quincy, Williams Baptist, and Lindsey Wilson. At last season's duals, LU went 5-1 with 13 pins as a team, third most among participants.Â
Makayla Rivera had five of those pins at 180, most among individuals on the day. The Lions scored a total of 210 points, most of any team at the event.
Last Time Out
The Lindenwood women's wrestling team competed at the Luther Hill Invitational hosted by Simpson College on November 1st. The Lions placed nine in the event, with five LU wrestlers taking top three finishes. FreshmanÂ
Jacinda Espinosa finished first in the 138 lb. weight class, defeating Nebraska's Regan Galloway in the championship round to take Lindenwood's first gold of the season. Four Lions earned bronze medals at the event, includingÂ

National Rankings
The Lions have two wrestlers ranked in the top 10 nationally in their respective weight classes, including
Jacinda Espinosa, who is ranked seventh in 138, and
Makayla Rivera, who is ranked 10th in 180. Espinosa is ranked second in Region 6, while Rivera is ranked third. Lindenwood is tied for 24th in the NWCA National Tournament Rankings.
Senior Day
Sunday's meet will also feature a Senior Day ceremony following Lindenwood's second dual. Four student-athletes are set to be recognized, including
Alana Duggan,
Hayley Gilson,
Allison Meyer, and
Kaitlyn Mossinghoff.
Next Up
Lindenwood will make their way to Marshall on Friday, November 21 for a dual at Missouri Valley. Competition is scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
