CORALVILLE, Iowa –
Jacinda Espinosa took sixth place in the 138-pound weight class at the inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships, which began Friday morning. With the top eight finish, she earned All-American status for the 2026 season.
The freshman opened the event with a win by decision (15-8) over York's Maura White, moving on to the quarterfinals to face No. 4 Lily Luft of Iowa, who she lost to in a 4-1 decision.
Espinosa dropped her first consolation bracket matchup against Haylie Jaffe of McKendree by technical fall (10-0) before losing the fifth-place match Wartburg's Kylie Rule in a 7-2 decision to finish in sixth place.
Espinosa finishes her first season at Lindenwood with an overall record of 32-11. She led Lindenwood in wins and team points (124), while finishing second on the squad in pins (14).
She finished runner-up at the NCAA Regionals to become LU's first ever NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championships qualifier.
