Softball Releases 2026 Schedule

The Lindenwood Softball team has announced their 2026 schedule this morning which features four non-conference tournaments and two mid week matchups within the first seven weeks of the season. The Lions will begin their season with two trips to Alabama on February 6-7 and February 13-15. The first tournament of the year will be at Alabama State University where the team will take on Nicholls State, Alabama State, Murray State, and Northern Kentucky for their first four games of the year. On the following weekend, the Lions will head back to Alabama for the Samford Tournament where they will battle Samford and North Alabama twice, and one matchup against Belmont. 

The final road tournament of the season will be on February 20-22 at the University of Florida where Lindenwood will play five games over the course of three days.They will take on Longwood (twice), Florida, and Middle Tennessee State (twice). The matchup against the Gators marks the first time since 2023 that the Lions will play a Power Four school. Following the Florida Tournament, Lindenwood will return to St. Charles for their home opener on February 27 against Indiana State for their first of six games of the Lindenwood Invite.

After wrapping up the Lindenwood Invite, the Lions will begin conference play at home on March 7 and 8 against UT Martin. The first mid week matchup of the season will be three days later when Lindenwood will host BIG 10 opponent Minnesota on March 11. The game against the Gophers marks the first time that the Lions will be hosting a Power Four School in the Division I era. 

Lindenwood returns to OVC play on March 14 and 15 at Eastern Illinois before returning home to host Bradley for a doubleheader on March 18. To end the month of March, LU travels to Cookeville, Tennessee to take on the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles before rounding out the month with four straight home games, including a three game series with Southern Indiana on March 28 and 29. In the month of April, the Lions are on the road for most of the month as they travel to Tennessee State (April 3-4), SEMO (April 18-19), Saint Louis (April 22), and Western Illinois (April 25-26). Their lone home series of April takes place on April 11 and 12 versus SIUE and their final home series of the season will take place on May 1 and 2 against Morehead State. 

The OVC Tournament is scheduled for May 6-9 in Peoria, Illinois at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex.
