Men's Volleyball Visits No. 15 Ohio State on Saturday

The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (3-5, 0-2 MIVA) is set to face its third-straight ranked opponent on Saturday, taking on No. 15 Ohio State (4-6, 1-1 MIVA). First serve from Columbus, Ohio is set for 12:00 p.m. CT

FIRST SERVE
  • Lindenwood will face its third-consecutive ranked opponent to begin MIVA play, taking on No. 15 Ohio State on Saturday in Columbus
  • The Lions are coming off a hard fought five set loss to No. 18 McKendree at home on Wednesday
  • The Black and Gold dropped the first two sets, but battled back to get it to a fifth, before falling in extra points, 16-14
  • Carter Stenmark posted a career-high 23 kills in the loss, while hitting .436
  • Jacob Christopher provided a nice spark and helped with the comeback after entering in the third set. He posted nine kills in those three frames
  • Brendan Louthain also had a solid night, compiling 16 kills and hitting .424
  • Zach Solomon posted a double-double with 47 assists and 13 digs
  • Lindenwood has only won one match in the series history on the road
  • The Buckeyes swept Purdue Fort Wayne in their last match and are 1-1 in the MIVA

2025 OUTLOOK
The Lindenwood men's volleyball team currently has 13 matchups against ranked teams on its 2025 schedule. The squad was picked to finished sixth in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Preseason Poll earning 38 points. Ian Schuller returns for the Lions. A year ago, Schuller earned Defensive Player of the Week honors one time during the year and his 183 digs led the team. He compiled 319 kills during the season, second most on the team on his way to garnering second-team all-conference honors.
