Men's Volleyball Travels to No. 12 Lewis For Midweek Match

The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (3-3) hits the road to open MIVA play, taking on No. 12 Lewis (7-2) on Wednesday night in Romeoville, Ill.

FIRST SERVE
  • The Lions are coming off a 3-1 win over Maryville last Saturday at home
  • In the match, Lindenwood hit .451 and compiled a season-high 71 kills
  • 26 of those kills came off the hand of Ian Schuller, a career-high
  • He finished the match hitting .632, which was also a career-best
  • For his efforts, Schuller was tabbed the MIVA Offensive Player of the Week
  • Lindenwood leads the MIVA in kills per set at 13.38
  • They also lead the conference in assists per set at 12.43
  • Zach Solomon set a new career-high with 55 assists against the Saints
  • He was also a force on the defensive end with 13 digs, which tied a career-high
  • Lewis enters the matchup with a 7-2 record and are ranked No. 12 in the country
  • The Lions will be facing their third ranked team this season and get off to a good start in conference play
  • Lindenwood has only won four matches in the series history, two at home, and two on the road
  • Head coach Joe Kosciw enters his eighth season at the helm of the program and his 12th at Lindenwood.
2025 OUTLOOK
The Lindenwood men's volleyball team currently has 13 matchups against ranked teams on its 2025 schedule. The squad was picked to finished sixth in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Preseason Poll earning 38 points. Ian Schuller returns for the Lions. A year ago, Schuller earned Defensive Player of the Week honors one time during the year and his 183 digs led the team. He compiled 319 kills during the season, second most on the team on his way to garnering second-team all-conference honors.
