Last Game Recap
Lindenwood softball (12-13, 3-3 OVC) dropped their lone midweek game of the week against cross-town opponent Saint Louis (10-16, 0-3 A10) by a final score of 11-3 in six innings. The Lions scored all three of their runs in the first inning after Jolie McMinn hit her fourth home run of the season.

Lindenwood's offense jumped out the gate early in the first inning scoring all three of their runs in the top half. Anna Sanders led off the game with a walk and Nicole Henson followed with a sac bunt putting runners on first and second. McMinn hit her fourth home run of the season to left field to put the Lions up top 3-0.

Saint Louis was able to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning with three runs of their own on three hits. Abby Mallo matched McMinn with a three-run home run to tie the game heading into the second.

After a scoreless second inning, the Billikens added a run in the bottom of the third after a double to left center field off of Ryleigh Owens. Saint Louis tacked on three more runs in the fifth inning off of Owens to make the score 8-3. Samantha Roulanaitis came into pitch in the fifth and recorded a strikeout to get out of the inning.

Kylee Crowder added her first hit in a Lindenwood uniform in the top of the sixth but was stranded at first base. The Billikens were able to get three more runs in the sixth inning off of Roulanaitis ending the game with a final score of 11-3.
