Men's Volleyball Closes Out Regular Season With Two Matches Against Queens

The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (8-14, 5-9 MIVA) closes out the regular season with a pair of home matches against Queens (10-17, 2-12 MIVA) on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday's match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m., while Saturday is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. first serve

FIRST SERVE
  • Lindenwood is coming off a 3-1 win over Quincy last Friday on the road
  • Ian Schuller made his return to the starting lineup and compiled a team-high 14 kills, while hitting .485
  • He was also strong on the defensive end, leading the squad with nine digs
  • Brendan Louthain was right behind him with 13 kills, and hit .400
  • Zach Solomon played facilitator for the Lions who hit .402 on the night, dishing out 49 assists
  • Solomon averaged 12.25 assists per set in the win and currently averages 10.47 assists per set on the year, ranking second in the MIVA
  • The Lions have won the only two meetings against the Royals in the series history, with both coming on the road
  • Schuller had a team-high 15 terminations in the last matchup
  • The Black and Gold will honor their three seniors on Saturday: Noah Varga, Cole Schuler, and Jose Vargas
  • Lindenwood could either be the six or seven seed in the MIVA Tournament

2025 OUTLOOK
The Lindenwood men's volleyball team currently has 13 matchups against ranked teams on its 2025 schedule. The squad was picked to finished sixth in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Preseason Poll earning 38 points. Ian Schuller returns for the Lions. A year ago, Schuller earned Defensive Player of the Week honors one time during the year and his 183 digs led the team. He compiled 319 kills during the season, second most on the team on his way to garnering second-team all-conference honors.
