Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Lindenwood softball (23-23, 14-12 OVC) dropped their final regular season game of the 2025 season with a 3-2 loss in five innings at Southern Indiana (16-23, 13-11 OVC). Due to rain in Evansville, game two of the series was called after five innings and game three was canceled.

After two scoreless innings by Lions' starting pitcher Wapp, the Lions struck first in the top of the third inning. Hatton had a lead-off double and was moved over to third with a sac bunt. West then delivered the first run of the day after a line drive off the pitcher to bring home Hatton.
Southern Indiana tied the game in the bottom half of the third with an RBI single to left field off of Wapp. With the bases loaded in the inning, Wapp got out of the jam with a strikeout to keep the scored tied at 1-1.
Lindenwood re-gained the lead in the top of the fourth. After a single by

Anna Sanders drew a walk and Brown scored the pitch after it got passed the catcher at home plate. Lions lead 2-1 after the half inning.
The Screaming Eagles went on to score two in the bottom half of the fourth, both runs came unearned against Wapp after an error in centerfield. Lindenwood had a scoreless fifth as the game was called due to rain.
The Lions now enter the Ohio Valley Conference Championships field as the number five seed and will play the number eight seed UT Martin.
