Lindenwood Softball Earns Four All-Conference Selections

Softball posted their most wins in OVC play (14) in their Division I history

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - The Ohio Valley Conference on Tuesday announced their 2025 All-OVC Softball Selections. Lindenwood softball earned four All-Conference selections including three second team honorees. The Lions ended the regular season as the #5 seed in the OVC Tournament starting on Wednesday, May 7th.

Avery Wapp - 2nd Team All-OVC
Wapp was the primary pitcher for the Lions during the 2025 regular season pitching in a team-high 114.2 innings. She finished the season with a 8-8 record while starting 16 games posting six complete games and an OVC leading six saves.

In 30 appearances over the season, Wapp struck out a career-best 128 batters ranking second in the conference. During the 2025 season, Wapp picked up her 300th career strikeout and now is one of three pitchers in the NCAA era at Lindenwood to accomplish that feat. She had 13 games where she tossed at least five strikeouts including a career-high 11 against SIUE on 3/29.

Wapp allowed 52 runs with 40 of them being earned. She walked just 42 batters while holding opponents to a .224 batting average which was the lowest in the conference. She joins Amanda Weyh as the only pitcher at Lindenwood in the Division I era to be named to an All-OVC team.

Tori Hatton - 2nd Team All-OVC
Hatton was named to the All-OVC second team as a catcher after leading the Lions in extra base hits. Her seven home runs this season marking the fourth most in the NCAA era in Lindenwood history and are the most in a Division I season in school history.

A junior from Troy, Mo., Hatton hit .274 during the 2025 season appearing in all 46 games making 46 starts. In 124 at-bats, Hatton had 34 hits which were the fourth most on the team. She had eight doubles and seven home runs during the season while posting a team-high .508 slugging percentage. Hatton was also walked 25 times ranking fourth in the OVC.

She posted seven multi-hit games during the season while leading the team with seven multi-RBI games. In 26 games behind the plate, Hatton posted a .978 fielding percentage while posting 277 put-outs with only seven errors. She lead the team with seven caught stolen bases.

Nicole Henson - 2nd Team All-OVC
Henson made the All-OVC second team as an outfield marking her first time on an All-OVC team. She led the team in batting average posting a .354 in 99 at-bats while ranking top ten in the OVC. She also led the team in on-base percentage with a .421.

A traditional slap-hitter, Henson had 35 hits ranking third on the team with two doubles and a triple. Henson also had 16 total RBI while walking 13 times. A speedster on the base pads, Henson led the team with 10 stolen bases.

Her 19 runs scored were tied for the team-high. She posted a .977 field-percentage with 42 put-outs and one out-field assist. Henson suffered a season-ending history in Lindenwood's last home series of the season.

Ryleigh Owens - All-OVC Newcomer Team
Owens in her first season at Lindenwood was one of the top pitchers in the conference appearing in 28 games making 16 starts. The junior from Edwardsville, Ill. posted a 2.73 ERA with an 11-8 record. Her 11 wins ranked top five in the OVC.

She had four complete games during the 2025 season with two saves. Owens tossed 110.1 innings allowing 112 hits and 43 earned runs. She had 67 strikeouts which were second on the team. She held opponents to a .258 batting average.

Owens had nine games this season where she posted at least four strikeouts including a career-high seven strikeouts against Valparaiso in a complete game. She posted her first career win at Lindenwood against Chattanooga on 2/28.
