Last Time Out
The Lions improved to 9-5 overall on the 2025-26 season and remained unbeaten in the OVC (3-0) with a 77-64 victory over Morehead State on Thursday afternoon inside Hyland Arena. Four different players scored in double figures for Lindenwood and they were led by Milos Nenadic, who scored a game-high 21 points on 9-12 shooting and knocked down 60% of his three point attempts (3-5). Sophomore Dontrez Williams tied his career-high in scoring with 20 points while Clayton Jackson scored 17 and Anias Futrell added 12. Jackson and Mekhi Cooper each had seven assists in the contest against the Eagles, and the duo combined for 14 of the Lions 19 assists. Lindenwood shot 50% from beyond the arc in the first half and shot 56.67% from the floor in the opening 20 minutes of action. Morehead State also shot the ball well in the first half, knocking down 55.56% of their shots, but the Lions defense limited MSU to just 30% from the floor in the second half to remain undefeated at home this season (6-0).

Scouting The Screaming Eagles
Southern Indiana enters the contest with the Lions with an overall record of 3-10 and are still searching for their first Ohio Valley Conference win of the season. The Screaming Eagles battled with SIUE on Thursday afternoon, dropping a tight contest on the road by a final score of 59-55. USI was led in scoring by Junior Forward Tolu Samuels who scored 14 points on 5-10 shooting and pulled down eight rebounds in the loss to the Cougars.

Southern Indiana has four players who are averaging 11 or more points per game this season and they are led by Senior Guard Ismail Habib who is leading the Screaming Eagles in scoring with 16.8 points per game. Habib has scored in double figures in 11 of 13 games played this season and had a season-high 26 points vs VMI on November 7. He also leads the team in three point percentage shooting the ball from beyond the arc at a clip of 36.2% and leads the conference in three pointers made with 38. Defensively, USI ranks second in the OVC in blocked shots with 61 and are behind Lindenwood, who leads the conference in blocked shots with 68. The Screaming Eagles are giving up 75.2 points per game on the season, which ranks 6th best in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Lindenwood trails the all-time series with Southern Indiana with a record of 2-8. In the most recent matchup, the Lions took down the Screaming Eagles inside of Hyland Arena last season by a score of 81-78 in Overtime. Jadis Jones scored a game-high 27 points on 10-14 shooting in that matchup to lead Lindenwood offensively. Despite the all time record, Lindenwood has won two of their last three games against Southern Indiana and will look to continue that trend on Saturday afternoon.
