LU hosts Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon in a big time OVC matchup with the winner between the Lions and Tigers being half a game back of UT Martin (7-2) with a conference record of 7-3. The conclusion of this game also marks the halfway point of conference play for both squads.Â

Tennessee State sits in second place in the Ohio Valley Conference with a conference record of 6-3 as the Lions are right behind the Tigers in third place. Tennessee State is coming off a loss at SIUE on Thursday night behind SIUE's Jack Campion's first career double double scoring 14 points and dishing out 10 assists.
