Last Time Out
Lindenwood fell at home to Tennessee State by a final score of 96-86. Anias Futrell scored a team-high 25 points in the contest against the Tigers, while Jadis Jones poured in 21 points on 6-11 shooting and Clayton Jackson scored 15 points off the bench to provide a spark for the Lions. Despite three Lindenwood guards scoring in double figures last Saturday inside Hyland Arena, TSU shot 60.3% from the floor and had three players score 20 or more points to hand Lindenwood their second home loss of the 2025-26 season. Futrell's second straight 25 point performance led him to be named the OVC Player of the Week on Monday afternoon as he averaged 25 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals per game in matchups against Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State. LU will now hit the road and shift their focus to Southern Indiana on Thursday night with tip off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.

Scouting The Screaming Eagles
Southern Indiana is coming off a 32 point win on their home floor over Western Illinois in which they shot a blistering 46.4% from three point range and 52.2% from the field. Senior Guard Cardell Bailey scored 22 points off the bench in the win over the Leathernecks, shooting 7-13 from the field and 4-9 from beyond the arc. The Screaming Eagles outrebounded WIU 47-29 and were led in rebounding by Bailey and Senior Forward Ola Ajiboye who both grabbed seven boards. The 96 points scored in their last outing was a season-high and the Screaming Eagles come into the matchup with the Lions with an overall record of 5-15 and 2-8 in the OVC. Bailey leads USI during Conference play in points per game with 14.9, while Guards Ismail Habib and Amaree Brown are averaging 14.1 and 13.8 points per game respectively. Southern Indiana leads the OVC in three point field goals made during OVC play with 84, while ranking fourth defensively in points allowed per game at 69.

In the previous matchup earlier in the month, the Lions defeated USI by a final score of 83-80 behind career-high performances from Milos Nenadic and Dontrez Williams. Nenadic scored a game-high and career-high 22 points on 9-14 shooting and was one rebound shy of recording his third double-double of the season grabbing nine boards. Williams was right behind Nenadic who scored a career-high 21 points at the time including 16 points in the second half. Anias Futrell added 19 points and Robert Lewis put up his third double-double of the season by scoring 12 points and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds, including eight offensive rebounds, in the win over the Screaming Eagles.

The Lions have only defeated USI one time in Evansville during the all-time series and will look to turn things around by attempting to win their third conference game on the road in five tries so far this season.
