Last Time Out
The Lions swept Quincy University in three sets last Wednesday to extend their winning streak to four matches behind eight kills from Owen Walsh and Luke Kraft. Lindenwood also recorded a season-high 12 service aces and hit .400 as a team as Walsh posted a team-high .636 hitting percentage in the match. LU held Quincy to a hitting percentage of .136 and totaled four blocks with Caden Whiteside and Walsh each having 1.5 total blocks in the victory over the Hawks. The Lions are up to #18 in the latest AVCA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball poll and will now shift their focus to Rockhurst and Missouri S&T on Friday and Saturday inside Hyland Arena. 
 
Scouting The Hawks And Miners
Rockhurst and Missouri S&T are both in the GLVC conference with the Hawks entering the matchup with Lindenwood on a two-match winning streak and Missouri S&T entering with a 4-1 record. Rockhurst has two hitters who have 50 or more kills this season in Senior Outside Hitter Shay Spadaro and Sophomore Opposite Hitter Lucas Tran. Spadaro leads the Hawks with 58 kills and 70 points through the first seven matches played while Tran is second on the squad in kills (55) and points (66). Defensively, Rockhurst has totaled 49 blocks through 25 sets played and are led in blocks by Middle Blockers Wesley Yusk and Aron DeRoy who each have 20 total blocks on the 2026 season thus far. 

Meanwhile, Missouri S&T has won four straight matches after dropping their season opener on the road at #16 Ball State. Defensively, the Miners have 220 digs through 22 sets played and have recorded 46.5 total blocks. Offensively, Senior Outside Hitter Nate Meyer has 93 kills on the season with a hitting percentage of .380. Meyer's 4.23 kills per set ranks 10th best in the nation and his five points per set ranks 7th best in the nation. 

The Lions have defeated both Rockhurst and Missouri S&T in the pervious meetings both resulting in sweeps. Brendan Louthain had a match-high 13 kills in the first all-time meeting in 2025 with the Hawks as he posted a .478 hitting percentage and a team-high two service aces in the Lions season opener last year. In the most recent matchup with the Miners, Aidan Curcuru led the Lions with five blocks en route to 3-0 sweep for the Lions in 2024.
