Lindenwood Men's Basketball fell for the first time during conference play with a narrow 66-62 loss at SIUE on Tuesday night.
Jadis Jones made his return to the lineup for the first time in two weeks and scored a game-high 22 points to go along with a career-high 14 rebounds. Jones is up to five double doubles on the 2025-26 campaign which leads the Lions. After trailing for most of the first half, the Lions were able to grab a five point lead in the second half on Tuesday night with 9:10 to go in the contest, but the Cougars went on a 7-0 run to retake the lead and hung on to hand the Lions their first conference loss of the season. Lindenwood is currently in third place in the OVC standings after the completion of Thursday night's games, and will look to bounce back on Saturday afternoon when they welcome the OVC preseason favorites in the Little Rock Trojans.Â
Scouting The Trojans
Little Rock currently sits at 3-2 in the OVC after entering conference play with a 2-8 overall record. The Trojans have picked up road wins over SIUE and Southern Indiana, with their lone home win coming against Tennessee Tech. In their most recent matchup on Thursday, the Trojans trailed by as many as 16 points in the second half at SIUE, and battled back to pick up a 73-70 road victory over the Cougars. The Trojans leading point scorer, Johnathan Lawson, scored a game-high 23 points in the win over the Cougars shooting 10-10 from the charity stripe and dishing out five assists. Lawson is averaging 16.4 points per game and has scored 20 or more points in four straight games. Meanwhile, Junior Forward Cameron Wallace is Little Rock's second leading scorer averaging 12.7 points per game and shooting 46.9% from the floor. Wallace is leading the Trojans in rebounding, pulling down 6.4 boards per game.Â

Anias Futrell each scored in double digits in that game, as Jones scored 18 points and pulled down three offensive rebounds, while Futrell scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to finish just shy of a double-double.Â
