Defensive Player of the Week
Peyton Johnson has been named Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season following her performance in the Lions' conference opener against Morehead State on Sunday. Johnson played all 90 minutes in the Lions's 3-0 win over Morehead State, anchoring a defense that allowed just four shots on goal while recording their fifth shutout of the season. She also picked up her first career assist on Mackenzie Compton's goal at the 83rd minute.
