The Lions went 2-2 at the Samford University tournament last weekend picking up wins over North Alabama and Belmont.
Anna Sanders led Lindenwood offensively batting .462 across four games scoring four runs and picking up six hits and six RBI. The Sophomore infielder from Hampshire, Ill hit her first career home run in the Samford Tournament which was a grand slam to give the Lions a 6-2 lead over Samford on Saturday. In the circle,
Samantha Roulanaitis picked up her first win of the season on Friday over UNA by pitching one inning and not allowing a run as the Lions went on to win the contest 13-8 after taking the lead in the bottom of the fourth, and
Avery Wapp picked up her second win of the season in the Lions 6-2 win over Belmont. The Senior pitcher went four innings striking out three batters and allowing just three hits.
