The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced on Tuesday morning that
Zach Solomon has been named the MIVA Offensive Player Of The Week for his performances on the road at #15 Ohio State and Northern Kentucky. Solomon has won the Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, which leads all MIVA players in 2026.
Across six sets played last week, the Senior setter from Muskego, WI averaged 11.83 assists per set and recorded five service aces to highlight his week. On Thursday in the road sweep over the Buckeyes, Solomon finished the match with a team-high 30 assists and led all players with a match-high three service aces. He then posted a match-high 41 assists in the three set sweep over Northern Kentucky on Saturday and added two service aces to help the Lions improve to 6-1 in the MIVA. The 6'4 setter has recorded 30 or more assists in 13 out of 16 matches played this season and leads the MIVA in service aces with 40. As of March 5, his .70 service aces per set ranks fourth in the nation and his 10.60 assists per set also ranks fourth best in the country. Solomon's 10.72 assists per set in conference matches is the best among all setters in the MIVA.
Solomon and the Lions will return to Hyland Arena tomorrow night for their final non conference match of the regular season as they will host Belmont Abbey College at 7 p.m. CT.
