Last Time Out
Lindenwood Softball took down the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers last night to pick up their first win over a Power Four School in the Division I Era. Ava Risum and Avery Wapp combined to pitch seven shutout innings and limited Minnesota to three hits. Risum threw the first 3.2 innings and struck out three, while Wapp closed out the contest by striking out four and not allowing a single hit over the final 3.1 innings of play. Wapp's first strikeout of the contest was her 400th career strikeout in a Lindenwood uniform and became just the third Lion to reach 400 career strikeouts joining Amanda Weyh (2020-24, 556 K's) and Kendall Ryndak (2012-15, 466 K's). The Lions got all three of their runs in the bottom of the fifth inning behind an infield single from Izzy Wilcox and an RBI single from Anna Sanders that scored two runs. Tori Hatton then drove in Sanders on an RBI groundout as the Lions took care of business for the remainder of the game and picked up their 11th win of the 2026 season.
