Lindenwood went 1-1 last week with a 3-0 sweep over Belmont Abbey on Wednesday before dropping a four set match on the road at #13 McKendree on Friday.
Luke Kraft picked up a total of 24 kills to lead the Lions for the week, including a match-high 16 kills against Belmont Abbey College. In Friday's match at McKendree,
Owen Walsh posted a team-high nine kills on a .615 hitting percentage while Kraft had eight and both
Amir Grant and
Brendan Louthain had seven kills each. The Lions out hit the Bearcats .230 to .194 but Lindenwood committed 18 service errors, which was a big difference in the match.Â
Scouting The Royals
Queens defeated Ohio State back on February 15 for their first MIVA win of the season. The Royals are 1-9 in the MIVAÂ and are 6-13 overall in their 2026 campaign. Queens is led offensively by Sophomore Outside Hitter Casey Maas who has 180 kills in 18 matches played. Maas has recorded 10 or more kills in nine matches this season and also leads the Royals in total points (200.5), kills per set (2.9), and points per set (3.2). Defensively, Senior Nathan Vaupel has 41 blocks to lead the 2026 squad, and has picked up five or more blocks in three matches. As a team, the Royals rank third overall in the MIVA in total digs with 597.Â
