ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Ohio Valley Conference released the latest Softball Player of The Week winners which features Lindenwood infielder
Anna Sanders, who was named the OVC Softball player of the week for her performance on the diamond at the Lindenwood Invite.
Sanders led the Lions offensively by hitting .467 across five games played and recorded seven hits with three of them being extra base knocks. The Sophomore from Hampshire, Ill drove in a team-high six runs and went 3-3 on stolen bases as well as having a .500 on base percentage and a slugging percentage of .733. Her best game of the Invite happened against Green Bay on Saturday where she went 4-4 from the plate and scored three runs with two RBI. Her fourth hit of the game resulted in a double to left center that scored two runs and extended Lindenwood's lead to 10-3 en route to the Lions first win of the tournament.
Lindenwood will return to action this weekend at home to begin conference play with a doubleheader on March 7 and a single game on March 8. First pitch on March 7 is set for 12 p.m. followed by game two at 2:30 p.m.
