LEADING OFF
The Lindenwood baseball team hosts the SEC's Missouri Tigers this Wednesday in a midweek showdown at the Lou Brock Sports Complex. The Lions are 0-5 all-time against Mizzou, who they most recently faced during the 2024 season. This week's contest will be the second time Lindenwood has hosted the Tigers in St. Charles with Missouri pulling out a 7-5 win at Lou Brock back in 2023.
LAST TIME OUT
Lindenwood suffered a sweep at the hands of Eastern Illinois to begin conference play last weekend. The Panthers scored five unanswered runs in the final two innings of game one to run away with the series opener before hanging for a 5-4 win in game two after Lindenwood overcame a three-run deficit to tie the game in the eighth with a
Jake Radosevich two-run homer. The Lions held an early lead in the series finale but could not keep up with a late offensive surge from the Panthers, falling 9-6.
Charlie Isom-McCall had a strong showing at the plate in the series, batting .583 (7-13) with a pair of three-hit outings, three doubles, four runs scored, an RBI, and three stolen bases.
NOTES TO KNOW
- Lindenwood enters this weekend with an overall record of 10-13 with a 7-8 record at home. Wednesday will be the final game of a nine-game homestand.
- The Lions are second in the OVC with a team ERA of 4.11 with a conference-leading four shutouts. They are limiting their opponents to a batting average of .251, which is second lowest in the conference.
- LU is batting .240 this season, which is the lowest average in the OVC.

- The Tigers are batting .293 as a team, which is sixth best in the SEC. Tyler Macon and Jase Woita are both batting .378 and are tied for the team lead with 31 hits. Macon also paces the club in doubles (7) and stolen bases (7), while Woita is tops in home runs (4) and RBIs (29).
- Mizzou has a staff ERA of 4.38. They've struck out 230 batters while surrendering 114 walks with a WHIP of 1.37.
