The Lions Men's Volleyball squad improved to 4-2 on the road and 12-2 overall on the 2026 season with a two match sweep over Fort Valley State last weekend.
Luke Kraft led the Lions with 20 kills across the two matches, while five total players recorded 10 or more kills to help Lindenwood complete the sweep over the Wildcats. In Friday's sweep over FVSU,
Caden Whiteside recorded a match-high 12 kills on a .667 hitting percentage, while
Owen Walsh added 10 kills. LU hit .313 for the match and
Zach Solomon added 37 assists to register his 10th 30+ assist performance of the 2026 season. In Saturday's four set victory, Kraft and
Brendan Louthain each had 10 or more kills with Kraft having a team-high 14 and Louthain adding 12 to his season total. Lindenwood added 13 service aces in the second match, which was their second most in a match this season.Â

Scouting The Buckeyes and Norse
Ohio State enters the Thursday match against the Lions with an overall record of 9-6 and a MIVA record of 4-3. The Buckeyes are currently ranked 15 in the country and are led offensively by Senior Opposite Hitter Shane Wetzel and Sophomore Outside Hitter Stanislaw Chacinski. Wetzel leads the team with 151 kills and is 23rd in the country in kills per set averaging 3.6, while Chacinski is second on the team with 140. Both hitters have at least seven matches this season in which they have recorded 10 or more kills. Defensively, Elilel Salva Torres leads OSU with 59 blocks and has recorded eight or more blocks in two matches this season.Â
Meanwhile, Northern Kentucky is 3-10 on the 2026 season with wins over Thomas More, Maryland Eastern Shore, and Central State. The Norse are led by Outside Hitter Matt Cosgrove who has 75 kills on the season. The match between NKU and LU on Saturday is the first all-time matchup between the two squads.Â
