Lindenwood Softball picked up their second consecutive OVC series sweep last weekend at Tennessee State to improve their Ohio Valley Conference record to 8-7 with 12 conference games to go. Senior Pitcher Ryleigh Owens led the way for the Lions in the circle by pitching 8.1 innings across all three games and added two wins and a save to her season total. Her performances in the circle against the Tigers led her to be named the OVC Pitcher of the Week and became the third different pitcher on the 2026 squad to win a Pitcher of the Week honor in the OVC this season. Owens struck out five batters in the series and posted an ERA of 0.84 as she allowed just one earned run in three appearances. Meanwhile, Emily Geary and Tori Hatton led Lindenwood at the plate as Hatton posted a team-high .545 batting average producing six hits, scoring five runs, and driving in four runs. Geary led the team in RBI with seven and added a double, triple, and home run and batted .417 with a slugging percentage of .917 to lead the Lions offensively.
