LEADING OFF

NOTES TO KNOW
- Lindenwood enters the weekend with an overall record of 18-18 with a 5-9 record on the road. They are in search of their first OVC win away from home. The Lions are 7-3 over their last 10 games with a 5-1 record in conference play since the beginning of April.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
- Morehead State enters this weekend with an 18-18 overall record after a 13-3 run-rule victory of Bellarmine on Tuesday night. The Eagles dropped two of three at SEMO last weekend, but swept UT Martin in their last home OVC series.
- MSU possesses one of the most high-powered offenses in the conference, leading the league in runs (298), homers (59), RBIs (272), and slugging percentage (.533). They are batting .316 as a team, which is the second highest average in the OVC.
- Aubrey Kearns leads the OVC with a .418 batting average, which ranks 11th nationally. He also paces the squad in OPS (1.162), hits (61), and runs (43).
- Jaden Correa leads the team with 12 homers (3rd in OVC) and 44 RBIs (2nd in OVC).
SERIES NOTES
- Lindenwood is 5-4 all-time and winners of three straight against Morehead State after sweeping the Eagles in St. Charles last season.
- The Lions are 1-2 at Allen Field, dropping two of three in Morehead during the 2024 season.

LAST TIME OUT
- Lindenwood made it four straight wins with a 9-1 victory over Saint Louis on Tuesday night. It was the Lions' first win over the Billikens since the 2023 season, snapping a five-game skid against SLU.
- Five Lindenwood arms combined to limit Saint Louis to only one run on eight hits with nine combined strikeouts. Ethan Smith picked up his first win of the season after giving up just two hits with a trio of strikeouts through the game's first three innings.
- The offense's nine-run showing was their highest scoring output since the Lions' 10-4 win over Missouri on March 25th. Charlie Isom-McCall led the way with two hits and two RBIs, while Kam Edwards also recorded multiple hits with a 2-5 outing.
WEEKEND REWIND
- Lindenwood swept Western Illinois over the weekend to secure their second consecutive OVC series win.
- The Lions were boosted by great pitching all weekend, only allowing a total of 5 runs over three games. Josh Newell and Seth Benes both went eight innings in games one and two, with Newell giving up two runs with three strikeouts in a 3-2 win on Friday before Benes gave up just one run on four hits with eight strikeouts in Saturday's 4-1 victory.
- Lindenwood took game three in 14 innings on Sunday, tying the program's Division-I record for longest game. William Zareh walked the game off with a base hit up the middle that allowed Charlie Isom-McCall to score from second. It was his second walk-off hit of the season.
- Lucas Niemeyer gave up just one run through the games first 5.1 innings before Aaron Jungers ate up the next 5.2 frames while allowing just one additional score. Easton Rakers got the win after tossing three shutout innings to end the game.
- Will Geary had a strong series at the plate, batting .462 (6-13) with a triple and three RBIs. He recorded two multi-hit performances, including a 3-4, two-RBI showing in game one.
