Last Time Out
The Lindenwood Softball team picked up a 3-0 win over SIUE in their OVC series finale on Sunday. Samantha Roulanaitis won her fourth game of the season by pitching the first 4.2 innings of the contest and allowed three hits and no earned runs. Senior Pitcher Ryleigh Owens replaced Roulanaitis with two outs in the fifth and runners on first and third, but needed just three pitches to end SIUE's scoring chance and kept Lindenwood in front by a score of 1-0. Owens pitched the final two innings and gave up just one hit and allowed zero runs to pick up her second save in as many weekends. At the plate, Anna Sanders and Teryn Brown each went 3-3 and collected six of the Lions 11 hits to fuel Lindenwood to their 20th win of the season overall and ninth win of the conference season. 

Scouting the Opposition

• SEMO is 10-7 in the Ohio Valley Conference standings and are currently in fourth place.
• The Redhawks are led by Senior infielder Aubrie Shore who is batting .468 and leads the team in RBI with 13 during OVC games.
• Pitchers Willow Van Haren and Maddie Carney lead SEMO's pitching staff in strikeouts. Carney has 46 K's in 89.2 innings pitched, while Van Haren has 45 in 63.1. 
• SEMO leads the all-time series against Lindenwood with a record of 9-1. The Lions picked up their first win in the all-time series last season at home in a 3-1 win behind strong pitching performances from Ryleigh Owens and Avery Wapp, who combined for 7 K's and four total hits on April 6, 2025.
