Lindenwood softball won their fourth OVC series out of their last five with a doubleheader sweep over Western Illinois last weekend in Macomb, Ill.

Kylee Crowder led the Lions to two wins as the duo combined for 10 RBI and went 7/13 from the plate. Crowder collected two extras base hits with an RBI double and triple in the doubleheader, while McMinn had four RBI in game one as the Lions dominated and won the opener by a score of 10-0. Ryleigh Owens each recorded a win during the twin bill, with Roulanaitis throwing three innings and allowed one hit for her sixth win of the season, while Owens pitched six innings and tied her season-high in strikeouts with five while allowing zero earned runs en route to her team-leading eighth win of the 2026 season in game two of the doubleheader.Â
Scouting the Opposition
- Morehead State is currently ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with a record of 6-18. The Eagles are still in contention for the eighth seed in the OVC Tournament which begins next week.Â
- MSU has two OVC Series wins against USI and TSU. The Eagles have taken 2/3 in each series that they have won.Â
- Junior Utility player Noemye Letendre leads Morehead in conference play with 20 RBI, six home runs, a batting average of .361, and an OPS of 1.071.Â
