BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Kaci Johnson and Lauren Ortwerth have earned Ohio Valley Conference weekly accolades following their performances at the CEFCU Invitational in Peoria over the weekend, with Johnson claiming Setter of the Week honors for the third consecutive week and Ortwerth being recognized as Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

Kaci Johnson handed out a total of 141 assists over three matches, averaging 11.75 assists per set and helping the Lions to a team hitting percentage of .255. She started the weekend with 47 assists (11.75 APS) against NMSU as the Lions hit .308 in the match. Later that day, Johnson dished out 38 helpers (12.67 APS) in LU's 3-0 win over UTRGV before registering a season-high 56 assists (11.20 APS) against Bradley on Saturday. She also added 14 digs for a double double against the Braves, bringing her weekend total to 27 (2.25 DPS).

Meanwhile, Lauren Ortwerth continued her impressive rookie campaign with 36 total kills (3.00 KPS) on a .228 hitting percentage. She opened the weekend with 11 terminations (2.75 KPS) against NMSU before adding six more kills against UTRGV later that day. Against Bradley, Ortwerth exploded for a season-high 19 kills (3.80 KPS) to help lead the Lions to a 3-2 victory.

Lindenwood opens conference play this weekend at Morehead State. Match one against the Eagles is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday with match two following on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CT.
