The Lindenwood field hockey team defeated Missouri 3-1 Sunday afternoon in its final game of the season.
Haley McCulloch scored off a rebound just six minutes into the game to give the Lady Lions a 1-0 advantage. At the 18th minute mark,
Kundai Musarurwa fired a crossing pass in front of the Missouri goalie, and a Missouri defenseman inadvertently knocked the ball into her own goal giving Lindenwood a 2-0 lead.
The Tigers scored moments later to cut the lead to one, and it would remain 2-1 going into halftime.
In the second half,
Lauren Cato tapped in a
Ana Marie Llosa pass to cap the scoring.
Julianne Sutton recorded the win in goal, posting five saves.
Lindenwood finishes the season 6-7.
