The Lions lacrosse team broke into the win column on Sunday afternoon with a 12-10 victory over Texas at Hunter Stadium.
Lindenwood jumped out to a 5-3 lead after one quarter and led at the end of every quarter after that. Its lead was only one after three periods, but the Lions closed out the game with a 2-1 advantage in the fourth.
Tyler Davis led the team to victory with a hat trick.
Sam Spallitta and
Josh Arras also had multiple goals.
Lindenwood improves to 1-3 on its young season. The Lions will travel to Memphis next week for neutral site contests versus Tennessee and Texas A&M.
