Both the men's and women's golf programs finished third on Tuesday at the Spring Hill Badger Invitational in Mobile, Ala.
The men's team led the competition after the first round with a 308, but slipped two spots after a score of 318 on day two. Its total 626 placed it third out of seven teams. The women's team had rounds 383 and 366 to finish third in a four-team field.
Emily Tebow was the top individual for Lindenwood, finishing third on the women's side. She shot rounds of 87 and 86 was one shot off a runner-up showing.
Claudia Rojas and
Grace Weber also had top ten finishes as Rojas shot a 184 and Weber shot 185.
Tonaya Marr finished with a 212 tournament and
Justine Decock had a 214 for the two rounds.
Morgan Leigh led the men's team with a top ten showing. He shot identical rounds of 77 and tied for sixth.
Richard Docherty tied for 15th with a 157 and
Alex Hauser cracked the top 20 with a 159. Rounding out the squad was
Lourens Kleynhaus with a 161 and
Paul Colditz with a 162.
The men's golf team is ranked 18th in the latest national poll while the women's team is 20th nationally. The men will compete in the Evangel Invitational on March 26-27, and the women hit the links again on March 21-22 and the Maryville Spring Invitational.
