The No. 4 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team played even with No. 1 Colorado for much of the night on Saturday, but Colorado broke an 11-11 tie in the final seven minutes for a 13-11 win.
Kara Cashen led the team with five goals and two assists.
Justiene Groothuis added three goals and an assist. Lexi Cusha had one goal and two assists, and
Asia Woodside and
Klaysa Fitzpatrick had the other scores.
Christine Hehmeyer had eight saves in goal, and Woodside led the team with three groundballs.
Lindenwood falls to 6-2 on the season. The Lady Lions end their four-game Colorado trip on Sunday at Regis.
