The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team received a strong performance from goalie
Dan Ashlock during an 11-8 win over Minnesota State Mankato on Friday night at Hunter Stadium.
Minnesota State had 25 shots in the contest, but Ashlock turned away 17 of them to lead Lindenwood to its fourth straight victory.
Julian Barnes and
John Pettis each had a team-high five groundballs.
Offensively,
Tyler Davis had three goals,
Josh Arras had one goal and three assists, and
Jordan McKay had two goals and one assist.
While the final margin was just three points, Lindenwood was in control thoughout as it scored the first three goals and led by as much as 8-2 at one point.
With the win, Lindenwood improves to 7-1 on the year. The Lions will host Illinois State in a conference contest on Sunday at 2 p.m.
