The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team picked up a huge conference victory on Thursday night at Hunter Stadium with a 15-14 overtime victory over No. 21 Missouri. In overtime,
Jordan McKay scored the game-winner for the Lions.
The Lions never led for the first 30 minutes of play as the two teams traded goals for most of the half. There were four ties in the half and a goal by the Tigers with 25.5 seconds remaining gave Missouri a 7-6 halftime lead.
In the third quarter, Lindenwood gained the upper hand in the contest by scoring the first two goals of the period. The two teams traded goals for the rest of the quarter and a late score by the Lions put them up 10-9 heading into the fourth.
Lindenwood's defense dominated the start of the fourth quarter as it did not allow a goal for the first 10 minutes. The Lions scored three times in that span to take what appeared to be a commanding 13-9 lead. Missouri got within two but McKay gave Lindenwood an insurance goal with 2:38 remaining. The Lions would need that goal as the Tigers scored three times in the final 1:33. The final goal with 12.9 seconds remaining was the eighth tie of the contest and sent it into extra periods.
Neither team scored in the first overtime. McKay finally ended the contest in the second overtime with an unassisted goal with 2:53 left on the clock.
Lindenwood had a balanced offensive attack on the night with nine players scoring goals. McKay finished with four goals, and

Josh Arras,
