Men's Lacrosse Advances To Conference Tournament Championship Game

The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team defeated Missouri by a 10-7 score on Saturday night at Hunter Stadium in a semifinal game of the GRLC Tournament. The Lions will play for the conference title and a berth in the national tournament on Sunday at 4 p.m. against Illinois.

The Lions jumped out to a 4-1 halftime lead against the Tigers and then extended their advantage to 9-3 after a big third quarter. Missouri attempted a comeback in the fourth but fell several goals short.

Greg Cameron led the offense with five goals, and Tyler Davis had two goals and two assists. Kyle O'Donnell also scored twice and Jordan McKay had one goal. Defensively, Dan Ashlock made 14 saves and Will DelGrosso had six groundballs.

Lindenwood improves to 15-6 with the win, including an 11-0 mark on its home field. Sunday's championship game will be a rematch from a regular season meeting which Lindenwood won 17-16 in overtime.
