The Lindenwood field hockey team was blanked by Liberty on Friday afternoon, falling 3-0 in Moon Township, Pa.
The two teams were tied at 0-0 going into halftime, but Liberty scored less than five minutes into the second half, and the Flames followed up with two more insurance goals.
Julianne Sutton got the start in goal for the Lady Lions, stopping five shots and surrendering three goals.
The shots were even, with each team tallying 14 attempts at goal. Lindenwood held a 9-8 advantage in penalty corners.
The Lady Lions drop to 0-3 with the loss and will return to action on Saturday as they stay in Moon Township, Pa. to face host Robert Morris.
