The Lindenwood men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Washington University Early Bird Meet today. The men's team finished eighth out of 19 programs while the women's team was fifth out of 15 teams.
Individually,
Ben McGraw was the top performer, coming in 12th in the men's race. Behind him were
Jesse Mathews who finished 23rd and
Shane Watts coming in 54th place. McGraw completed the race in 19:48 and Mathews mark was 20:12.
Will Everett,
Taylor Paul, and Wes Barger all broke 23:00 for the Lions.
The women's team was led by
Tanya Chibanda who finished with a mark of 15:44 and finished 15th overall.
Courtney Heidorn was under 17 minutes and
Ai Shinohara,
Jessica Ching, and
Caitlin Howe completed the race in less than 18 minutes.
Lindenwood will be in action again on Sept. 17 at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
