The Lindenwood men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Walt Crawford Open on Friday in Charleston, Ill. Both squads finished in fifth place.

On the men's side, Isaac Ndiwa took the gold with a time of 25:07.10. Eliezer Mateo Santiago, Matthew Minton, and Mitchell Barth all finished with times under 30 minutes.  

For the women, Makenna Smith paced the Lions in the 6k with a time of 23:25.20, followed by Kadence Berry and Olivia Pearce
