Isaac Ndiwa of the Lindenwood men's cross country team has been named the OVC Male Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.

Ndiwa put together a strong performance at the Walt Crawford Open, taking the top spot in the 8k with a time of 25:07.10. In a field of 64 runners from mostly OVC schools, the Kenya native pulled away to win his first collegiate race by just over a second.

So far this season, Ndiwa has earned back-to-back top 10 finishes to begin the season. He and the rest of the Lions will be back in action on Friday, September 26 at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo.
