The Lindenwood men's and women's cross country teams ran in the Jackling Jocks Invitational Saturday morning in Rolla, Mo. The men's squad took the course first and finished seventh out of nine teams while the women finished sixth out of nine teams.
Junior
Ben McGraw led the men for the fourth time this season, finishing the 8k course in a time of 25:38 which was good for 13
th place overall.
Brady Novak finished nearly one minute later with a time of 26:37 for 35
th place overall.
Aaron Parker and
Wesley Barger held the third and fourth spots with times of 27:09 and 28:34, respectively.
Josh Jump finished the race in 29:22 for the fifth and final time for Lindenwood.
“The men had some really good personal performances,” said head coach
Randy Cole. “We continue to get better and continue to show positive results.”
The Lady Lions were led by
Tanya Chibanda who finished the 5k course in a time of 18:11. Chibanda missed her third top-five finish by only six seconds.
Courtney Heidorn had another strong showing finishing 26
th overall with a time of 19:00.
Aaryn Edge and
Ai Shinohara finished eight seconds apart with times of 19:27 and 19:35, respectively.
Mary Brosamer-Senger held the fifth and final score for Lindenwood with a time of 20:23.
The Lindenwood cross country teams will compete in the MIAA Championship for the first time on October 20
th in Maryville, Mo.
