The Lindenwood men's and women's cross country teams opened their seasons at the Washington University Big River Early Bird meet on Saturday. The men's team finished 12th out of 15 teams while the women's finished fourth out of 17 teams.
Ben McGraw was the top performer for the men's squad finishing 14
th overall. Mcgraw completed the race in 20:00 and was followed by
Brady Novak who finished in 20:57.
The women's team was led by
Tanya Chibanda who finished fifth overall with a time of 15:24. Behind her was
Courtney Heidorn who finished in 16:06 and 22
nd overall.
Aaryn Edge,
Ai Shinohara, and Katie Brosamer-Senger also completed the race in less than 17 minutes.
Lindenwood will be back action Sept. 15 at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
