The Lindenwood men's and women's cross country teams competed at the MIAA Championships Saturday morning.
The women competed first finishing in ninth place out of eleven MIAA represented schools at the event. Jessica Macy from host Pittsburg State won the event in which 97 runners competed.
 In the women's 6k event with three Lindenwood runners placed in the top-50. Ann Cherotich placed the highest of the women with a 29th place posting a time of 23:15.34.
Courtney Heidorn was the second-best finisher on the team with a time of 23:27.08 for a 38th place finish.
Terah Fullman rounded out the top-three finishers for the women's team. She posted a time of 23:44.06 good enough for 49th overall.Â
Lindenwood's men's team ran in the 8k MIAA Championship race. The men placed two runners in the top 35 and placed eighth out of nine teams.
Nicholas Stewart finished the highest among the men with a time of 25:50.40. Stewart finished the event in 25th place.
Ben McGraw was the other top-35 runner for the Lions. McGraw finished 32nd overall out of 84 runners with a time of 26:06.03.Â
Adam Volkert from host Pittsburg State won the men's race. Southwest Baptist took home the team title in the women's race with the men's team title going to Central Missouri.
The next race for the cross country teams is at the NCAA Division II Central Regional Nov. 9 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
