The Lindenwood men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Southern Stampede Invitational on Saturday in Joplin, Missouri. The Lions finished 13th in the men's 8k race and 10th in the women's 5k.

Brady Novak led the Lions finishing with a time of 25:51.25 and finishing 24th overall. Nicholas Stewart finished at 26:24.48, second for the Lions and 50th overall. Travis Staebell came in third for Lindenwood and 68th overall with a time of 26:38.49. Colin Cernik finished at 27:26.40, fourth for the team and 112th overall. Aaron Parker finished fifth for Lindenwood and 121 overall at 27:41.76

For the Lady Lions, Courtney Heidorn led the team finishing the race 30th overall at a time of 18:53.56. Terah Fullman ran a time of 19:48.25, finishing second for Lindenwood and 61st overall. Amanda Brisso came in third and 79th overall at 20:16.48. Aaryn Edge ran a time of 20:20.97, coming in fourth for the Lady Lions and 85th overall. Jen Carter finished the race at 20:45.68, fifth for Lindenwood.

Lindenwood cross country returns to action on Saturday October 5th when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the Greater Louisville Classic.
