Freshman swimmer Alecia McGillivray has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Swimmer of the Week for the week of Jan. 20-26.

McGillivray led the Lindenwood swimmers at NCAA Division I Missouri State where the Lady Lions lost a dual to the Bears. McGillivray had the only event win by being victorious in the 200 free (1:56.44) and she was also runner-up in the 200 backstroke (2:10.56).

This is the fourth member of the Lady Lions to be named NSIC Swimmer of the Week and the third time this season McGillivray has earned the honor.

She will next swim along with her teammates at the NSIC Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 6-9 in Rochester, Minn.
