complete resultsThe Lindenwood swimming and diving teams continued their winning ways on Saturday in Liberty, Mo., as both the men's and women's programs defeated William Jewell and Missouri-St. Louis.
On the women's side, Lindenwood defeated William Jewell by a 145-116 score, and it defeated Missouri-St. Louis by a margin of 198-29. The men's team won 169-93 over William Jewell, and 215-23 over Missouri-St. Louis.
Lindenwood women's team won nine events, including a third of those by
Hannah Vinyard. She was the fastest swimmer in the 200 free, 100 fly, and 200 fly.
Lena Kirchner won two events in the 400 free and 800 free.
Renata Xavier Cabral was first in the 50 free, and
Alecia McGillivray won the 400 IM event. The Lady Lions also swept the two relays in the 200 medley and 400 free.
The men's team also captured nine first-place finishes. Three Lions won two events during the day as
Serghei Golban was first in the 100 back and 100 fly,
Mateusz Pacholczyk won the 50 free and 200 breast, and
Felix Eigel won the 200 back and 400 IM. Other individual winners were Ilan Brunfman in the 200 fly and
Jakub Jonczyk in the 100 free. Like the women's team, the men also swept both relays during the competition.
The next Lindenwood swimming and diving event will be next weekend when the program hosts the Lindenwood Diving Invitational at 9 a.m. at Pattonville High School.
