The Lindenwood women's tennis team beat Colorado State-Pueblo 6-3 while the men fell 5-4 on Sunday in Pueblo, Colo.
The Lady Lions swept doubles play including an 8-2 win by
Mariona Pinol and
Daria Ivanova.
Clara Piccamiglio shined as the top singles player with wins over her opponent of 6-1 and 6-0.
The men fell behind after doubles competition winning just one match by
Sergio Lopez and
Filip Bogic. Bogic won his singles match in three games as did Yoshi Ysa to give the Lions the lead. Colorado State-Pueblo won the final three matches of the day to steal at 5-4 victory from the Lions.
Both the men's and women's tennis teams will play Metropolitan State University of Denver on Wednesday starting at 2 p.m.
