For the first time since joining the NCAA, the men's lacrosse team has an All-American.
Graeme Hossack has earned first-team All-American honors after a season that saw him earn ECAC Specialist of the Year, first-team all-ECAC, and win the ECAC Specialist of the Week award four separate times.
Hossack finished third in the NCAA Division II in groundballs per game with 8.50. In total groundballs, Hossack was second with 153. Groundballs wasn't the only individual statistic that Hossack cracked the NCAA top-10 in, climbing to the No. 6 spot in caused turnovers per game with 2.33 . Hossack wasn't just a terror on defense, adding to his game by becoming a threat on offense during his senior season, scoring 16 goals with a staggeringly high .833 shots-on-goal percentage. He also added two game-winners, including one overtime goal against Seton Hill to clinch Lindenwood's first men's lacrosse victory over Seton Hill since joining the NCAA.
Hossack earning All-American honors for the Lions wasn't the only first for Lindenwood's men's lacrosse team this season. The Lions had their first ECAC tournament victory this season, defeating Seton Hill in the first round 9-7. Lindenwood also made its first NCAA Tournament appearance this year, but fell to eventual championship game participant No. 1 Limestone.
