Jessica Prinner Wins National Title

Jessica Prinner won the Women's Individual Pursuit title at the USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Championships on Friday in Colorado Springs, Colo. 

The Lindenwood graduate student emerged on top of the field of 48 riders in the three kilometer event.  Not far behind was teammate Josie Talbot, who finished fifth to claim the final spot on the podium.  Kyrstin Bluhm took 24th, Ashley Weaver claimed 26th, Jacqueline Denny was 27th, Emily Bramel 29th, and Amber Vredenburg was 35th.

The Lions didn't fare as well in the four kilometer Men's Individual Pursuit.  Derek Cote was the top Lindenwood rider with a 36th place showing in the field of 63, followed by John Holden and Reece Oleson in 42nd and 43rd respectively.  Seven other Lion riders finished further back in the pack. 

The 2015 Collegiate Track Nationals continue through Saturday at the 7-Eleven Velodrome in Colorado Springs, Colo.
