The Lindenwood men's cross country team won the program's first ever MIAA Championship on Saturday afternoon in Warrensburg, Mo. The Lions edged out Central Missouri and Missouri Southern for the title.
Lindenwood narrowly beat out the host Mules by just a total of 14 seconds. The Lions averaged a time of 26:06 while Central Missouri averaged 26:09.
The Lions top finisher was
Omar Es Salmouny who finished in third place just nine seconds behind the winner of the race.
Clayton Duchatschek finished in the top 10 placing eighth and
Austin Crowe placed 11
th.
Jerod Broadbooks and Paul
Michael Golian also finished in the top 25.
On the women's side of the race the Lions placed 12
th.
Kayli Brower was the highest finisher for Lindenwood placing in 65
