The men's and women's cross country teams competed in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Champions in Kearney, Nebraska on Saturday afternoon.
The men's team finished 7th overall with 214 total points.
The men's team had four individuals finish in the top 50.
Clayton Duchatschek led the Lions, finishing 26th in the event with a final time of 32:33. Other notable runners for the men include
Omar Es Salmouny and
Jerod Broadbooks. Es Salmouny finished 33rd overall with a final time of 32:48 and Broadbrooks finished 37th overall with a final time of 32:55.
The women's team did not qualify for a team score on Saturday and just competed as individuals.
Kayli Brower finished 146th overall with a final time of 24:49 and
Ashley LaPointe finished 152nd overall with a final time of 24:56.
The men complete their best season in program history, winning their first ever Conference Championship.
