The Lindenwood men's and women's tennis teams each earned a win on Wednesday over Missouri Baptist in St. Charles, Mo. The women's team shutout the Spartans 7-0, while the men's side picked up a 6-1 win over Missouri Baptist to close out the fall schedule.
Laura Castro Milan was the only women's player to sweep her competition 6-0, 6-0 in the final singles match.
Fernanda Poblete and
Natalia Cordero had commanding wins over their opponents as well, posting wins of 6-1 and 6-0.
On the men's side,
Francisco Diaz and
Guillaume Teste each earned 6-0, 6-0 sweeps in their singles matches. The men's team improves to 2-0 on the year, while the women's team picked up the first of this season.
The tennis program will return to the courts on Saturday, February 22 when the Lions head to Quincy, Ill. to take on Quincy University.
